Worlds Routes Map derives from a glitch in the last level of zoom-out in Google Maps that presents an endless frieze of the globe replicated horizontaly on a blue background. Staring at the frieze I thought it is a perfect metaphore for the contradiction of the progressive virtualisation of the world. We can have the world multiplied in various virtual visualisations and interfaces, but we are still contained within the limited physical dimensions of the planet.
